Canberra Scottish Fiddlers

The Canberra Scottish Fiddlers is a group of Scottish fiddle music enthusiasts who meet regularly to learn, teach and rehearse their favourite Scottish fiddle tunes.

Formed in 1999 in Canberra, Australia's national capital, the group includes fiddlers of all ages and experience. The Fiddlers perform at folk clubs, festivals and community events. The Fiddlers’ repertoire reflects the global flowering of Scottish music, with some members teaching tunes to the group after attending fiddle camps and schools in Australia, New Zealand, Scotland, England and the US.

Informal rehearsals take place in convivial surroundings and are lots of fun. If you have a passion for Scottish fiddle music, this may be the small music group for you. Interested fiddlers are always welcome. Private lessons for beginners or more experienced players are available.

The Canberra Scottish Fiddlers usually meet every month, on a Sunday, from 3 – 6 pm.
